Conclusion Image quality wide open has good center sharpness but also some corner softness. Stop it down a bit and you can get some very nice quality pictures. Also like how it renders with quite good contrast and bokeh. Flares and backlight are maybe not the best but still okay. The closest focus of 0.5m (1.7ft) are a bit less impressive for the focal length. But overall a nice lens.
