Chinon CA-4s

Viewfinder:

Great size and brightness.

Info:
Exposure meter
LED light from 1/1000 to 1/8 then also a over and under.

Shutter type:

Focal plane
Vertical metal blade.

Electronic controlled.

Build quality:

Quite good but much af the exterior is plastic
So not the best feel to it.

Conclusion:

A okey SLR that do the job.
It don't have any manual shutter control except for the X flash sync and B (Bulb)

You adjust ISO manually so you have a exposure comp + - there depending which film you use.

The auto shutter is stepless and the manual say that is have shutter speeds from 1/1000s to 1s.
But the longest exposure is much longer than 1s and I got it to about 40s.

Lack any mirror lock or equivalent.
The mirror don't go up first when you use the self-timer.

But overall a camera with good value because these can usually can be found extremely cheap.

Thumbs up:
Reliable
Viewfinder
Value

Thumbs down:

Plasticky / feel
Lack of shutter control
No mirror lock or equivalent
