Chinon CS Reviews
Posted by Bengt Köhler Sandberg 2012-05-31 Technical info -All mechanical shutter: 1/1000s to 1s and Bulb -Flash sync (1/125 sec) -Self-timer -Light meter Viewfinder: It's big and bright. Build quality: Really robust and build quality as good as it gets. Lenses: Uses M42 screw mount. You can find hole range of old nice lenses for this.
Conclusion: This is a really solid camera but this also makes it heavy. Viewfinder is great and this have a built in light meter. This light meter used an old mercury battery that you can't buy any more. You can find replacement batteries but this don't give out the exact same voltage and this light meter don't work well with these. Another this is that the mirror makes quite a lot of vibrations and you can really feel in the camera when you press the shutter button. This don't have a mirror lock but the mirror goes up when you use the self timer so this camera can also be good for longer exposures on a tripod. Thumbs up: All mechanical shutter Reliable Great viewfinder Built like a tank Thumbs down: Heavy Mirror vibration Light meter doesn't work well with today's batteries Want to help
