Bokeh Flare / Backlight Extra Sample More sample images can be found at: http://www.sample-image.com/helios-44m-58mm-f2/ It's all metal and are very solid and well built. Conclusion Image quality wide open has quite good center sharpness but also very noticeable corner softness. Stop it down a bit and you can get some very nice quality pictures. Bokeh looks great and the 8 bladed aperture keeps a fairly round bokeh stopped down. But flare and backlight is not its strong point, unless you're looking for much of this. A lovely lens with a image feel that I like very much. Thumbs up: Image quality Renders, Bokeh 8 bladed aperure Build quality Thumbs down: Corner softness Flare / backlight (unless you prefer much of this) Want to help
