f/3.5 Wide open is sharp except at the corners which I expected. Fairly heavy vignetting but it renders a nice and contrasty image. A Lot better than what I expected from this lens. Download full
size image. Here (up to 5mb)
f/3.5 - f/8 - f/16 Bokeh Really nice Flare Not that great
Digital Pictures taken with a Canon 500D at ISO100 and I used a M42 to Canon mount adapter f/3.5 - f/4 - f/5.6 - f/8 - f/11 - f/16 Bokeh More sample images can be found at: http://www.sample-image.com/industar-50-2-50mm-f3-5/ Filming Build quality All metal and have great build quality. The only thing I don't like is the aperture dial wich is quite loose and flabby. Not that is anything wrong with it but I would like it to have more resistance in it. Conclusion Fine examples that you should not judge a book by its cover. Its not much to look at but image quality is not bad at all. Okey you have quite allot of vignetting wide open but this gives a nice feel to the image so I don´t see that as a problem. Thumbs up: Ridiculously small Great built quality Image quality Nice bokeh Thumbs down: Aperture dial Flare Want to help
