Conclusion Overall a great lens and a very sharp one. You do have quite noticeable corner softness at bigger apertures, but the softness comes gradually and I don't feel it like that bad. One thing I found quite odd is that the lens stops down even wide open. So this is actually a f/2.8 or similar lens and you also getting a hexagon bokeh even at f/3.5. This looks very much like the Meyer ... Domiplan 50mm f/2.8 lens and I guess that this is its predecessor because this is older of the two. But newer isn't always better and the Primotar E is a better lens at most points. Thumbs up: Center sharpness Great bokeh Flare Thumbs down: Corner softness at bigger apertures. Want to help
