Not extremely sharp wide open but I must still say that it's farly good for a zoom lens. The same with the corner softness. Download full

Digital Pictures taken with a Canon 500D at ISO100 and I used a Nikon to Canon mount adapter 35mm f/3.3 - f/8 - f/22 50mm f/3.3 - f/8 - f/22 70mm f/3.3 - f/8 - f/22 Bokeh
Flare Handels flares very well. Not perfekt but not far from. Chromatic aberration Can get very big and ugly wide open but most is gone at f/5.6 f/3.3 - f/5.6 Filming Build quality Like all Nikkor manual focus AI-s lenses, this have a great build quality. But it's quite plasticky compared to other Nikkor from the same time. This is more like the Series E lenses. Conclusion Image quality is not that bad at all. Of course far from perfect especially wide open. Bokeh can look really bad in some occasions but also look great in others so its a bit mixed resoults. Chromatic aberration can also be a big problem but most of it goes away by f/5.6. Yes it's quite plasticky compared to other Nikkor lenses but still have a very good build quality. But this is solid as a rock compared to today's plastic lenses. Thumbs up: Image quality Lightweight Thumbs down: Plasticky Chromatic aberration wide open Want to help
