Pentax Espio 70 Reviews
Posted by Bengt Köhler Sandberg 2013-09-23 Have not been able to find any spec info on this camera. So I only know what one can read out on the camera and test myself. Specs: Lens: 35 - 70 mm Closest Focus: About 0.6m (0.7m) (2 - 2.3ft) Aperture: ?? Shutter: ?? but do have B (Bulb) Leaf shutter Light meter: yes Battery: One 3v CR17345 (or similar) Flash: Yes, built in only Weight: 240g (without battery) Self-timer Auto focus and exposure Dubbel exposure Interval pictures (takes a picture every 3 min or 60 min) Takes 135 film 24×36 mm negative size. Viewfinder: Very small but good brightness and work fairly well. Image quality Build quality Very plastic but still quite solid. The feel of the camera is maybe not great but not as toy like as other similar cameras of this type and age. Conclusion A fairly nice and solid camera for a simpel and plasic one. It is a point and click so it don't have no exposure control exept for the flash plus a B setting. As many simular camera this also have a noisy motor for the zoom and film advance. Image quality is far from the best but I would say a okay one. Center sharpness is somewhat moderate but get soft towards the corners. It do renders quite well with fairly good contrast, bokeh and flare/backlight. AF system have worked great on my test and are fast to work with. The auto exposure have on the other hand given some shots under exposed. But nothing way off. Thumbs up: Image render AF system Thumbs down: Slow lens Corner softness Plastic / Feel Noisy Want to help
