Posted by Bengt Köhler Sandberg 2012-03-25 Technical info -All mechanical shutter: 1/1000s to 1s and Bulb -Flash sync (1/30 sec) -self-timer -viewfinder with a built in rangefinder Viewfinder: Its fairly dark and small. It's an approximation of a 50mm field of view. Build quality: All metal and built like a rock. This do have short exposure times down to 1sec. It´s not that uncommon that the longer shutter speeds don´t work like thay chould. But this is not unusual with all old fully mechanical shutters and its usually times under 1/30 - 1/60s. Lenses: Uses Leicas old M39 screw mount. You can find hole range of old nice lenses for this. Operating
Conclusion: This is as manual as its gets so this is far from a camera for everyone. You can learn allot from this becouse it so basic and it really forces you to think befor shoot. The only time you will get a good looking and fast snapshot is if you plan for it ahead. Plus it looks great and have a nice feel to use. But its not all good and there are some things I don´t like about this. Biggest thing is that small little winder that you turn to get the next shot. You don´t get a very good grip to it, its not fast and you will get sore thumbs after using this to much. Second is the shutter speed selection dail. You can only see which shutter speed is selected after you have cranked it up for a new shot. This is becouse the shutter can take damage if you change the shutter speed without cocking the shutter first. So there is a good reason this. Thumbs up: Small size Great build quality Looks great and have a nice feel to use Thumbs down: Next frame winder Shutter speed selection dail Not the best viewfinder Want to help
